Tangs Malaysia is set to open another store in Malacca by the end of the year.
It will be Tangs’ fourth outlet in the country.
Its first store was opened in Empire Subang in 2010, followed by 1Utama and Genting Highlands in 2012.
The company signed a tenancy agreement for the new store recently, with The Shore Shopping Mall, a project developed by Kerjaya Prospek Group.
Tangs Malaysia was represented by chief executive officer James Loke and Kerjaya Prospek by CEO Tee Eng Ho.
Malacca Tourism, Coastal Development, Rivers and Islands committee deputy chairman Datuk Ghazale Muhamad witnessed the signing ceremony.
Under the agreement, Tangs will be the anchor tenant in the mall, taking up about 40,000 sq ft of the ground and first floors.
Tangs The Shore Melaka will feature a wide selection of lifestyle apparel for men and women, footwear, and accessories with a diverse selection of international brands.
Other merchandise includes cosmetics & fragrances, home, travel and other items.
Tangs has been at the forefront of fashion and contemporary lifestyle products since it first opened in Singapore in 1932.
Tangs The Shore Melaka will be the company’s first store in the southern region.
Loke said they are proud to expand Tangs in Malacca, and looking forward to introduce a fresh and exciting mix of brands to cater to the needs of customers in the southern region, including Negri Sembilan and Johor.
